There could be several reasons why your phone won’t turn on. It could be due to a software issue, a dead battery, or a hardware problem. Here are some of the most common causes of a Galaxy S23 not turning on:

  • Dead Battery – A dead battery is the most common reason why your phone won’t turn on. If you haven’t charged your phone in a while, it may have run out of juice.
  • Broken Charging Port – Your phone’s charging port could be damaged or not working correctly, preventing the battery from charging.
  • Software Issue – Sometimes, a software issue can cause your phone to malfunction, preventing it from turning on. It could be due to an update that didn’t install correctly, a virus, or a corrupted system file.
  • Hardware Problem – If your phone has suffered physical damage, such as a cracked screen or water damage, it could have caused hardware issues that prevent it from turning on.

Possible solutions to your problem

Now that you know what could be causing your phone to not turn on let’s look at some steps to fix it.

  • Charge your phone

If your phone’s battery is dead, connect it to a charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes. If your phone doesn’t turn on after 30 minutes, try using a different charger or charging cable.

  • Check the charging port

If your phone still won’t turn on after charging it, check the charging port for any visible damage. If it’s dirty, clean it with a dry cloth or a toothbrush gently.
